How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Anyone out there want Portal pins?

So I know most people following me are doing so because of the Pony Creator, but MLP is only one of the fandoms I'm tangentially involved in, and I'd like to talk about another: Portal

Here's the short version: I collect pins. I have MLP pins, Homestuck pins, X-Men pins, Harry Potter pins, video game pins, etc. My ideal goal is to have pins representing most of my fandoms.

However! There are no Portal pins, which is sad because I like Portal a lot. So, inspired by the fan made MLP pins, I thought, "Maybe I should make my own Portal pins!"

What I've learned is that it's only cost efficient to buy pins like that in bulk. What I'm trying to figure out is if I created a set of Portal pins, would anyone else want them too, and be willing to pay for them? I really just want to cover the manufacturing cost, which would only be a few dollars per pin if I order enough bulk designs.

Click here to see 10 pin concepts I've come up with. The concepts aren't finalized yet, but that's roughly what I want to do. The pins would probably be about 1 inch long, made with soft enamel.

If you think this is something you might be interested in, please comment here or on the pin designs. Expressing interest isn't a commitment to buy anything! I'm just trying to figure out if this is worth pursing.

Also, if you know a good place with a lot of video game aficionados to spread the word, please do! I would be very appreciative.

Okay well Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle are both MLP characters, not Portal characters. And this isn't something I ever actually did. It's just something I thought about doing a year ago.

Portal pins sound like an excellent idea. I'd love to have pins of my favorite Portal quotes, but then again, it probably wouldn't be a good idea. There are so many, I could never choose just a few.
